Happy Sunday! It’s been a lovely day as I’ve spent most of it crafting ….. ?
The end of the week has been busy with planning for my first ever Stampin’ Up demonstration and I’m really excited but nervous too! I spent a bit of time on Friday with my lovely SU up-line Victoria picking her brain as she’s got lots of experience of this type of thing. It’s for a local charity “Butterflies Breast Cancer Support Group” based in Worthing that my parents are involved with at East Worthing Community Centre on Tuesday evening. It’ll be their first monthly group meeting in 2017 – we’re not sure how many people are coming but it may be 30! My plan is to demo two or three simple cards (as only a few of the ladies have any previous experience of cardmaking) and then hopefully some or all of them will have a go at making one or more of the projects. Victoria has lent me her display board and extra stamp sets, punches and acrylic blocks which is brilliant and I’ve come up with two of the projects and when my order arrives tomorrow will be able to do the third project as I’m using a new stamp set from the Spring / Summer catalogue. Then I just need to prep all the supplies and cut the card.
I thought I’d share a photo of a gift set I made for a dear friend as a Christmas present. I’ve seen something similar on Pinterest. I used Night of Navy card stock with Affectionately Yours DSP and Number of Years stamp set.
I’m pleased to say my friend was delighted with her gift!
I’m still working out video editing and guess I’ll probably just have to bite the bullet and post a video that’s not completely perfect … it’s ok to strive for perfection but not to get stressed when everything isn’t exactly right. It’s one of my stop goals for this year ……if practically perfect in every way is good enough for Mary Poppins so should be good for me too lol
That’s all for now folks! Thanks for stopping by.
