Craft Room Tour

Hello there,

Well where did last week go?  Time sure does fly when you’re having fun! I’ve been filming card tutorials but it really isn’t as easy as it looks. My smart phone video were either sideways on or too far away! I then tried our Lumix camera which shoots HD video’s but it didn’t give me enough time. It will not beat me …… I will find an app to edit the video’s I took on my phone, so watch this space!

In the meantime, here are photo’s of the card I was filming. I used the Grateful Bunch stamp set from the Stampin’ Up annual catalogue, which is beautiful. I used the matching punch to cut out the flowers to add a bit of dimension. I wanted to show that the Wink of Stella brush works in a similar way to a blender pen – it pulled the Rich Razzleberry and Pacific Point ink out to add another tone to the flowers and butterflies. The card base on this card is Mint Macaron (the colour I used for the leaves) and matting layer is Whisper White and the sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

The second version is Very Vanilla and Wisteria Wonder card stock. The flowers are stamped in Wisteria Wonder on the Wisteria Wonder and the butterflies are stamped in Watermelon Wonder. It’s hard to see but the butterflies are glittery as I used the Wink of Stella brush but it didn’t blend as well on this card stock. The sentiment is from the Suite Sayings set and is punched out with the Decorative Label punch.

This next card was CASed from a Facebook post but I can’t remember which page. It is a simple idea and uses one image from the Gorgeous Grunge set and the sentiment is from the Suite Sayings set. I decided to use three ink colours (think the original used six) Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Pacific Point and Whisper White card stock. The sentiment is punched out with the decorative label punch and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I know I’m a lucky lady to have a dedicated craft space. My lovely hubby turned one of our spare rooms into an office / craft room with a worktop along one side of the room and plenty of storage. I work from home so it had to be a multi-functional space so there’s a desk for my laptop and printer but most of the room has been taken over by my hobby. (The desk and drawers are from Ikea. The filing cabinet is Bisley.)

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful week.
